Default I got Sapphire Radeon 9000PRO 128MB

I got a Sapphire Radeon 9000PRO 128MB and while playing MAFIA when I turning my car to the left or right the screen(image) it's like turning slow and it looks like it stops every second I mean it's like keep turning and stop and then it keeps going and then after a second it stops again. and sometimes while driving it stops and then it keeps going and then it stops again. It happens like after every 5 or 10 minutes why its happening like that if my computer is new I got 2.54 GHz, 512MB motherboard-ASUS P4PE.

I got one more question can anyone check if my motherboard is copatibile with my graphic card.

well, I'm not expert but, i think that Mafia is a pretty demanding game for the graphics card, perhaps your card just isnt powerful enough, have you checked the specs for the game? what is the lowest required card

The ASUS p4pe is a great MOBO, and the radeon 9000 is nice too... they are def compatible... I am not too sure why you would get a framerate valley like that, its not good whatever it is... some of the hardware guys might be able to help you with that

You might try reinstalling the game. Perhaps it was just a glitch in the install. Make sure you back up your saves first.

Also, I would try another game that is also demanding such as Unreal Tournament 2003 or Battlefield 1942. If the glitch is happening in all the programs, it could be a hardware issue.

Have you updated to newest drivers? You never know what a new driver can do for ya'.

does it happen while playing Barbies Dream Date?

...used to just piss me off....

actually, a friend of mine with a very overpowered grafx card for the game he is playing is having a similar problem, and he resolved it by messing with program compatability modes and by disabling something called "advanced *something* services", and so far the problem hasnt reared its ugly grill up in dis hizzy....
