graphics card problems

Ok, just two days ago my graphics card was working fine and everything looked normal, then i began messing with settings. the problem is shown in screenshot i attached, the font is all "weird" looking. I uninstalled my graphics card drivers, then reinstalled hoping that would fix the problem but no, apparently not. I have a gf4 mx440 on windows xp home. Any ideas?

I cant really tell much from your screenshot.
Have you checked your desktop display settings?
Also you may need to remove registry entries for the card when unistalling it, to do a clean install.

ill tell ya 2 problems.......WHY THE CRAP did u by a g4 mx440...POS, and xp isnt my favorite thing either.... did u try the font settings in IE??

Two Questions? Is the problem just in Internet Explorer? Or does it affect only text? Or graphics as well? Can you describe the problem a little better....."it looks weird" doesnt help much

But ya.....first of all check the Text size in IE, you cant do that by going to VIEW-->TEXT SIZE

And if you go to the Disply properties, SETTINGS tab, click the ADVANCEDbutton, it will let you adjust the font size......

If its another problem, let us know

Another question I would ask in addition to Scapegoat's...Is that the only font with a problem? Or do you see it with others as well. Are other graphics effected too? The screenshot looks like it's in 16 bit color, but that shouldn't effect your fonts like that.

You could download detonator destroyer or detonator RIP from http://www.guru3d.com to remove the old drivers. And make sure the when you reinstall everything is set to default in the control panel.

Thanks everyone for the help, the problem is solved. I never thought to check ie's font size, it must have got changed somehow (not by me though). No, i cant afford a 9700 or any other "top of the line" card, im workin with a small budget. Thanks again.

Good Deal dude......

heres a little shortcut , and I bet its how it got changed to......

If you hold down Control and use your scroll wheel on your mouse(if it has one) it will adjust the font size up and down ( i bet 15 to 1 thats how it got changed)

Scapegoat, you are exaclty right. I set up the "magnifier glass" option to work when i hold down control and scroll with the mouse wheel...lol I was messing with that a couple days ago, now i remember...
