Exclamation Upgrading to a new card...

Hiya all,

I didn't look around to see if there was already a thread that discussed this or not, but here it goes:

I currently run an ATI 9600 non-Pro. I just bought an x800xt from a fellow Pimp and it'll be here in a few days. I was wondering, can I just uninstall the old 9600 drivers and install the new card? Or is there some special program I should run to completely clean all the old drivers and software off with? I know that if you upgrade from ATI to nVidia (or vise versa) you should run a special cleaning utility to make sure there aren't any leftover software to conflict with the new card (or correct me if I'm wrong).

Anyway, let me know what you guys think.

Cheers,
Jobi

thats why you hear about people having problems with screens/ windows crashing out after installing a new card. Just keeps everything clean and tidy before getting an upgrade
