 |  ASUS GF4 (8460 DL) x Platinum Ultra  Guys, last chance to find an explanation (AND a solution) to my problem. Got an GF4 8460 ASUS to install on my Soyo KT333 Platinum mobo. Since booting time, many white rectangules appear on screen. Also some pixel garbage. On BIOS setup the same.In WINXP (when not frozen), the same random points, boxes and lines... Could it be a problem related to: a) mobo AGP specification (1.0, 2.0) incompatibility issue (this mobo is AGP UIniversal PRO...looks like...er....No problem here) b) bad f...d VGA ('she' is at ASUS by now for 3rd time). 2 times bad memory? c) Bad (weak) PSU (it´s a 500w PSU) d) other Obs.: NO (really) NO OC at all. Not now not ever. SO, it´s no OC related. 'she' never worked at all....not for a minute. No time for OC... Latest drivers (oh, man...it´s starts on BOOT TIME....couldn´t be drivers, 4in1 or things like that) BIOS settings conservative, defaults already tested Don´t tell me to buy another board (supposed to be a technical forum) 10x |
