Default AGP grrrrr - bring back the spectrum!

I am having real dilemas with my ASUS Ti4600 gfx card. My bios is set to AGP 4, I have installed th latest via 4 in 1 drivers (including AGP support), I have the latest drivers from ASUS, and have even treid the 41.09 detonator drivers. However, this issue remains....

Install the via agp driver (as part of the 4 in 1 drivers) and my GFX card will only run AGP 1, but perform at a comparable speed against other GFX, Motherboard and processor of same spec as mine. Smartdoctor (the software ASUS provides to monitor and tweek the GFX card) has a barney cause my MB is not suppling the correct voltage of 3.3 for the GFX card being in AGP x1 mode. The only way to get the card to run at AGP 4 is to uninstall the via agp driver, the GFX card then runs at AGP 4 but is much slower then it should be.

Can someone help me out here? Ideally, I want to be running at AGP 4 (dont i?) at a speed that is right for my GFX card, Motherboard and processor.

Thanks in advance
Graham

Go to Guru3D and download the latest version of Riva Tuner. You should be able to "force" the 4X that way.

You can try backing up to the 4.38 via drivers and make sure you install the agp driver in turbo mode. That board has had problems with various geforce cards in the past. Use the current via driver set-up to uninstall. Uninstall the detonator drivers as well, you should be using the standard microsoft vga driver when you install. Install the Via's first. Then install the detonator drivers.
