| hi, first off let me state that "I AM A NOO-B", so please dont flame me for being stupid. now on to my question. i am currently running an amd xp 2400 with 512m of corsair xms pc 2700 and a g4 mx-440 on an msi kt4 ultra-sr mobo. i have the vid card inserted in the agp slot but my o.s. (win xp) is only recognizing it as being in pci mode. i have gone through my bios and to the best of my knowledge set everything appropriatly but have had no luck. any suggestions you pimps could give would be great. | ||

| logik - Definitly a BIOS or Driver setting you have set incorrectly.Go through your motherboard manual for video card settings and you WILL find something, make sure its set to AGP...many motherboards have PCI Compatibility mode where it treats AGP cards as if they are PCI cards... Possibly a Detonator driver setting but I wouldnt know I dont nor ever have owned a nVidia video card... Either ^-that-^ or you have a PCI video card crammed in your AGP slot ![]() | ||

| My first guess would be you don't have the drivers loaded for your board. Download the latest via 4in1's for it and install them, they include the AGP driver. My second guess would be a possible pin setting on your mobo. You'd have to look at your manual to see if you do. The jumper could be in the wrong position or simply missing. | ||
