| Ok, has anyone used one of these, or do you think its worth a crap if you are trying to OC your video card. I have a 128mb gf4 ti4200, and i was considering squeezing a bit more performance out of it. http://www.thermaltake.com/products/chipset/g4.htm This is what I have now, its an Albatron GF4 Ti4200P (I think, it came with the rig). http://www.albatron.com.tw/VGA_Card/Ti4200P.asp Let me know what u all think | ||

| Yo BA, did you have a problem with the bottom of yours not being flush? I read a review that said that the particular cooler they got was not flat and didnt contact the entire GPU. The review i read, they lapped it down with 400 grit, 600 grit, 800 grit, 1000 grit, and 2000 grit paper to get it all on the same level. Was this an isolated incident or a pattern? Anybody have one and paid attention to it? | ||

| Honestly, I don't know. I automatically lap anything that goes onto my CPU or GPU. I don't remember any unusual concave patterns while I was lapping it; at least no more than heatsinks usually have. That brings up an interesting point though; recently I bought a Maze3 and didn't notice it had P4 mounts on it. I went ahead and lapped it and it had a wicked depression in the center. It took me hours to smooth it out. After I noticed I had the wrong one and received the correct one, I lapped the new one. It required very little work and the bottom was flat and shiny in about 20 minutes. Two blocks from the same company. I guess it's not unlike chips with their production runs, each run is a little different than the other. | ||
