It's true about the beta drivers killing the cards true 3dmark potential. I would like to know TCG_Modder's 3dmark score running 6800gt beta drivers.

For anybody to post an article claiming to have done such things, I would have at least expected to see photos of what was physically done (not to mention more screencaps).

Just read a long thread over at Xtremesystems. Guy with two 850XT PEs scored 15k in 3dmark with some insane ln2 cooling.

Also found this contest.

Doesn't surprise me whatsoever. Now all that's left to be done is for somebody to develop a Liquid Nitrogen regneration system that won't fill an entire room nor consume a few thousand watts of power and still yield enough regenerated cryogenic fluid to be usable.

Here's what I've seen of Crossfire

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=64513

Quite honestly, I trust the overclockers at XS who get the good stuff first over most other places.

In regard to 15k in 3dMark05, well, considering oppainter, with a cascade cooled CPU (FX-55 I think) and two 7800 GTX's watercooled came just shy of 16k in 05', I think Crossfire is looking pretty damn good

That 15k breakage with two X850XT PE, well, an X850XT PE and a X850 master card, is more impressive when you consider that Crossifre with, what is now last gen cards, is coming close to nVidias neoGen cards. Just imagine what Crossfire'd R520's will do? Assuming Crossfire and R520 ever ship that is (bad ATI! ship the stuff dammi!)
