Well, being a long time nvidia fan. I can't believe that nvidia is going to take this lying down. If they don't do something pretty soon, I will honestly have to consider switching to ATI. I don't think it's a very attractive card though.

Yes you will see major price cuts also about Nvidia there not gonna take this lying down companys deal whoop ass Intel does it to AMD AMD does it to Intel, you might remember the 8500 it held even with the GF3 Ti500 but when the GF4 Cards came out there was no comparison between the 2 manufacturors flagships oh and the Gaming convention there prolly talking about is the one where Doom III is rumored to be released but being as this is just a guess dont quote me either way Kyle from the best review site in the world [H]ardOCP told me there is a A-I-W 9800pro due in early April

If you look at these bench marks the FX clearly beats the 9800 pro in more than a few benchmarks. it doesnt look like the 9800 is as great as everyone thinks it will be. Not saying it wont be a great card just not as good as the hype has made it sound.

Also if you look they were running the FX card at non ultra speeds. My link has the Ultra and non ultra tested. Just my 2 cents.

Fair point but if it was your 300 or 400 dollars what would you chose? but you are right it really is not that much different its based on the R300 core with some minor improvments, but if Nvidia wants to keep in the game it will help to have a Press release highlighting there product road map or atleast give a hint as to what there planning

It hasnt been canceled. Its only going to be a limited production. Or so Ive read. And who knows. Nvidia hasnt come out and said anything yet. Rumors are rumors until it comes from their mouth.
