Default Is Radeon 9500 pro any good?

IS it worth getting coz its like pretty much same price as the albatron ti4200p turbo, and its suppose to kick ti4200 big time. Will getting a new video card in a months time a wise thing to do since thats when all the new ones are coming out right?

I like mine. Just beware u have to flash the bios to ocverclock it . I hit 3920 in 3dmark03(yes I know not everyone likes the new 3dmark). The fastest 4200 was just over 2000. Not bad for a $200 card.

Sapphire also has a 9100 Pro that is new on the market. Retails for around $90. If you don't need the best but want something that will give decent performance, it would be worth looking into.

Otherwise, if it was between a 4200 and a 9500 Pro, I would lean toward the ATI card.

Go with the 9500Pro. You won't be sorry. You could get the lower model and hack it as it has been shown in some reviews, but that's your call.

this descussion is now over the Radeon 9600pro is out wich will be taking the spot of the 9500pro or you could get a 9700pro being as the prices will be droping lower and lower and dont forget you can find 9700pros already in the sub 300 range so keep your eyes peeled for an article on the 9800pro and the roadmap for the R350/RV350 cards visit http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NDM5
