| What does a 128 mb Geforce3 ti 200 = to in the ATi line of cards and is it a good card for the price? Is it Almost as good as Geforce4 ti 4200 ? My friend has 64 mb version and can play new games at high rez with agp 4x so im think 128 mb would be that much better? Im looking to play Splinter Cell on it (Got iso;s already ) and Counter-Strike . I curently have dual p3 1ghz 2 gigs ram , geforce2 mx 400 32mb | ||

| gainward gf3-ti 200(128 mb)=8704 @245/544 gainward gf4-ti4200(64 mb)=11296 @311/621 both cards are golden samples tested with 3d mark '01.judging from the 1000+ marks with 3d mark'03,i should have gone with 128 mb. edit:had to correct that one,no way to get over 3000 on 3d'03. also have to add that gainward had a LOT of bad 4200's in the early run. | I think they are aimed at the same market segment ...... budget gamers ...... and up here at least the price is reasonably similar. The 9000 from all I have seen performs right in between the GF4 MX line and the GF4 ti 4200. What would you compare the MX 440 to BA? | ||

| Probably the 7500. The 460 would be more in line with a 9000. I think a 8500 would smoke it. I have a 9000 in Household 6's computer and have been impressed. I've never owned an MX card, guess the closest would be a Geforce 256 DDR card. But I've seen the numbers, the MX can't compete in the low end anymore. With the advent of the 9500, there is no low end market for nVidia anymore. They can only hope for high end saturation. And we all know who owns that right now. This is rambling comments from a traditional nVidiot who recently decided to try ATI out for a test drive. The 9000 I have is nice. The modded 9500 I have is real nice. I only wish I could afford a 9700 Pro. nVidia has nothing to offer that can compete against the price/performance of these cards. Rant from an nVidiot. | ||
