Good Benchmark scores?

3DMarks2001 SE score before new nvidia drivers was like 7800. After new drivers 8500. What are these scores like? I just got this new card today that i got these scores on. G4Ti4200 128mb Gainward Golden Sample.

The new 40 drivers kick ass. I just pulled 10,188 with a Gainward Ti-4200 with absolutely no optimizations. Straight score with no cheating besides an overclock (stock cooling).

8500 doesn't sound too fabulous for a 128-meg GF4 Ti4200...unless you're using an 800 MHz T-Bird or something. I got 8104 with a 64MB GF3 and 1.2 T-Bird.

Again, I'm pulling 10,188 using no optimizations on an Epox 8K7A+ with a 1.4 T-bird. That's with a Gainward Ti-4200 128 Golden Sample. You should be able to pull a little better. I got better than your scores using an overclocked Gainward GF3 Ti-200. Check out this guide and then try your benchmark again.

I have a SOYO Dragon +, AMD XP 1.4gig, 256DDR, wtf am i doing wrong?

Goldeye,
If you have not done so, get the new Det 40 Drivers. HERE

Then get Coolbits for good overclocking HERE Full instructons for that are on that page.

And then go HERE for the Det 40 Patch.

And finally go HERE for the tweak guide (provided by BA)

Let us know how you do with it all

PS are you running XP as your OS?
I have said this a few hundred times but you do not have enough MEMORY.
XP at idle uses 170MB!
Right now I have four windows open with winamp3 running (Billy Idol Techno Remix) and I am consuming 251MB of mem!
With a game running I can use over 400MB!
With only 256 you are cutting your nutz off before you go out the door.
Something to think about.

I managed to pull 12876 out of my Ti4200 in 3Dmark2001SE(330) with the new 40.41 drivers

and that was when i still had 512MB PC2700 DDR running at 300MHz
have'nt tested with the new ram yet, but I'am getting there
still tweaking window and installing games, etc
