Default cie.exe error/Catalyst Control Conter

I recently Installed ATI Catalyst Drivers 5.2. When I start my computer I get an error saying cannot locate file cie.exe. I'm pretty sure this is the catalyst control panel, which I dont have or never installed. Where do I get the catalyst control center to resolve this issue?

I have a Radeon 9600 Pro by GeCube

heh head on over to ATI.com and see what you can find there!
EDIT seems like a issue best left for the video card geeks!

If you want to stop catalyst from running when you boot click start then click run. Type in msconfig now go over to the startup tab all the way over to the right. Look for cie.exe or Ati Catalyst and uncheck it or any other video card related things. When you reboot it shouldnt come up. www.ati.com should have the Catalyst Control Center

on the ati website they have 2 options to downlod drivers---one thats 23 megs and one thats 29 megs and says something about .net framework has to be installed. i cant get the second one to work, have the same error, as do 2 of my friends. so i downloaded the 23 meg one and it works perfectly

Simple fix - install the .NET framework from Microsoft. I have this error all the time when building rigs with ATI graphics cards and using the newest CATS - I even have the .NET framework installer saved on my network so I dont have to DL it every time.

Thanks for the advice..I dl the .NET fix and everything works perfectly

The cat drivers are awsome! They give me more control over my AGP card! And it looks awsome and have me at least a 20% or more increase in FPS =D
