You have to remember those are american prices. I need canadian prices, plus coupled with shipping out of america, and not all places ship to canada, it can get ery pricey (I canadian dollars)

But thatbks, anyways, I might instead get an Connect3D Radeon x300, is that an ok card?

Im looking for a gaming machine, not over the top, something that will handle Doom 3 and Half Life 2, my current machine (Intel P4 2.0GHZ,256MBRam,128MB Geforce 4) can hande half life 2 on medium setting with OK FPS (30-40) , So I think iwht my new machine(P4 2.8GHZ,1024MB Ram, Radeon x300 256mb) will be able to handle it pretty well.

Thanks everyone!

Ya thanks, I am in canada. Also I've been searching google, www.alltheweb.com and such for countless cards and it's not getting any easier, with all the 3dmark (which I dont understand) stats and all that it's getting hard. Im looking for reviews that just tell me THIS CARD WORKS WELL WITH SUCH AND SUCH GAMES WITH HIGH GRAPHICS SETTINGS.

I made a new post, with new choices (found a cheaper sight, that ships to kanada). SO if you can help there that would be great

Thanks again

the x300 is probably one of the worst choices to be made for games. it can run normal applications fine but not strong enough to even handle last generation games.

its ok, im not sure if it would help half life 2 all THAT much but if thats canadian dollars then thats not too bad of a deal. my reccomendation would be to look for an nvidia 6600 or 6800 series card. those will last you a year and a half+ unlike the 5700 series and would def be the better buy.
