Screen Lock ups

Just installed my new FX5900XT and I am getting some screen lockups in Nascar Racing 2003 season. I had it on 8x AGP, and OpenGL, I put it to Direct3D and it still locked up. I'm wondering if it's the game or the card settings?

Had this with my card, and had to drop back the AGP settings. Also check to see that Fast Write is off. That is what fixed mine.

I did it alot less with turning the AGP to application controlled. Where is the fast right located?

Fast Right is located in two places, but more easily changed in the Properties. It is located in the Advanced, under the AGP settings for your Nvidia card. You can also find it in the BIOS.

Hey Jim.......are you oc'ing your system or card when playing?

Alot of games don't play nice when oc'ing....

No, No overclocking. Tis a brand new card.

I just installed it on a 18 gig HD and it is working just fine. So, I'm suspecting that the problem on the backup HD is a setting that needs an adjusting. I also want to comment on how i am amazed on the graphics this baby puts out! Saw some of the demos and my jaw dropped!
