Default ASUS Extreme AX800 XT/PE review at hexus.

Is it me or does this card look like ASUS/ATIs had a go at nVidias' original heatsink design?

Anyways, linkage is HERE.

Card is based on the X850 chipset , and clocked at a smooth 520/1120.

I took a look at an ASUS Extreme AX800XT/2DT card a couple of months back. Clocked in at 500MHz/1000MHz and sporting a native PCI-Express interface like all R423 parts, its PCB layout and component location is startlingly similar to the XT PE model. I urge you to play a game of spot-the-difference and come back to me if you can identify more than a handful of changes between these two premium GPUs. This is precisely why XT PE cards are just enhanced XT models. You simply pay through the nose for faster GPU and memory speeds.

This is my GPU and I love it to death. Overclocks great and that heatsink is ALL cooper with heatpipes. Great design and I have never artifacted or vertical teared because of heat.

I got it off Ebay for a good price. I did have to RMA becuase the asshat sent me a bad one, but ASUS was OK at the RMA. Took them longer than I wanted but they got it to me.

You could always ship it in this direction if you run out of other ideas.
