I'd like to see more companies get on the FX bandwagon, like MSI, Albatron, Chaintech, etc. just to see different color PCBs. Imagine a red, black, or blue GeForce FX. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it *Drrroooollll* *Slobber* *Slorp* Aw, dang! Now I have to change my shirt and pants! LOL

It says it will be shipped on 3/9.

Comp usa has a PNY says it will ship 2/5

3/9? I'm planning on buying one, because I'm stuck with geForce2 MX right now cause I'm selling my old one. Hope I don't have to wait till then. Sure it wasn't 2/9? BTW, anyone heard if they're doing different model #'s like other nVidia cards? I noticed the one on Best Buy is 5800.

EDIT: Wouldn't that Asylum box make a GREAT painted pic on your rig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No the offical card is the 5800 ultra fx, They are also making a 5600 that is clocked at (400/400) But it will come out later.

May I be the first to say the FX cards look horrible and deserve to have the cooling system melted down right onto the card. I hope more companies find a better way of cooling(as did Gainward, supposedly 7db instead of 70db) BTW, I'm looking forward into gettting a Triplex ti4800SE......forget FX

hey i heard that there will be a 256 mb version. was that just speculation or have u guys heard anything about that.
i havent stayed current w/ the vid cards (im too interested in a new mobo)

You know with a 4800 all you are getting is a geforce 4400 with a 8x agp

There are Ti4200 cards that are better then that.

Like that GAINWARD/CARDEXPERT GeForce 4, 8X AGP. Ti 4200, 3.3ns, Power Pack Golden Sample, BGA 128MB DDR for $199 at Newegg.

All you gota do is get one that works

They got a review of one up over at http://www4.tomshardware.com/graphic...127/index.html in my personal opionion i think that its not much better then a 9700 pro. and it takes up an additional PCI slot , its almost twice as heavy and its i believe twice as loud. toms hardware has a sound bite of it. And i truly believe that it does infact sound like a vacuum cleaner
