Question GeForce 6600 Q?

There's Gigabyte, Chaintech, Leadtek, Aopen, Asus, BFG, etc.; which brand is the better GeForce 6600? They should all be the same, correct? I'm a bit confused. Also, I need it to be AGP & I'd like to keep it around 220.00, should I go for the:

GeForce 6600 128MB
GeForce 6600 256MB
GeForce 6600GT 128MB
GeForce 6600GT OC 128MB

I'll be using Photoshop6 & playing Rid****: Escape From Butcher Bay & Doom3; both on high settings.

ok the geforce 6600 128mg is crap dont get it, the 6600 256mg one is better but not worth the money, the 6600gt is a great card and would suit you fine for what your ganna be playing. The 6600gt oc is just a little faster 6600gt. The oc stands for overclocked.

There are very few 6600 GT's for AGP bus, but there soon will be. Wait another couple few months before buying your card and there should me many more from which to choose (the prices will also get nicer). I've also heard tell that ATI won't be coming out with their competitor to the 6600 untill q2, 2005, so they plan to reduce the price of their 9800pro series cards. This may be a better option depending on what your preferance is.

At this point, a GT will give you an amazing performance increase ( over 98xx cards) in a few games, where a 9800Pro/Xt will tail slightly behind it on average. For the money and current time, a good 6600GT has about the same price-performance ratio as my 9800SE had when I bought it. Go for a 6600GT to define the major improvement over 9800 cards.

Post GeForce 6600 Q?

Just what I thought, the 6600GT is the one to get.

I've heard alot of ppl are buying the BFG card, is this because of its DOOM reference? Just a thought.

I can't believe I'd ever say this - but when it comes to AGP 6600GT's... get the XFX. They use the best memory on theirs.

BFG has the best warranty and support, all the cards are pretty much the same. I'd go with nothing less than a GT, and the 256mb flavor if you can afford it.

Lat, whats this about XFX using better ram?

XFX uses the best memory found on 6600GT's standard, some BFG's recieve it but I think it's hit and miss on the modules. Basicly if you want to get your memory above 1100 regularly you'll need one of the good BFGs or an XFX. Everyone elses cards that's I've seen the pics of struggle for 1k+... now I just need an aftermarket GPU cooler to replace this loud @$$ reference design.

Question

Has anyone ever heard of or used a Galaxy video card? I'm getting a GeForce 6600GT; I want it quiet, reliable, hopefully under 220.00 & I am NOT overclocking. I was wondering if anyone has any experience w/this card? I'm also thinking of the Chaintech, bottom line - I want a quiet, low-priced, reliable card.
