Default Gigabyte Dual GPU Graphics Card.

The 3D1 graphics card is the first SLI-in-one video card created by any graphics card ocmpany to date. Similar to the XGI Dual, the card has 2 6600GT cores in SLI ocnfiguration. The card is to be priced less than the 6800Ultras and 850XT's but will have far more 3DMark and framerate performance.

The card is not yet Google-able, and the only link Im afraid to say, is THIS one.

A pretty darn good feet though, regardless of the Nazi site getting at it first.

Well, I was hoping you could run two of those in SLI, but I'm thinking not because of the lack of NVIDIA reference SLI slot on top. Would have been sweet though, to have 4 GPU's in one case.

Hey do you guys think that 2 6800 ultra cards for $625 each is over kill?

I am starting to think that where price and performance is in sli is 6800gt.
For only $399 you can get one at bfg.
If you go to www.tomshardware.com you will see in that bench marks that sli ultra got a feeble 0-5 frames more. But on 3dmark 05 it got almost 1000 more.

So what do you guys think? Is it ridiculous to spend $450 more for 1000points/5 frames?

Except unlike the XGI, it doesnt suck.

I want so see a 6800-based version of this with SLI.

honestly though, a 3d1 for $600 or 2 6600's in SLI (cooler imo) for $400. Or two 6800's in SLI... Damn SLI is cool stuff!

damn, when I think my wallet will finially get a break and have a chance to fatten up..... Crap like this comes along and i get the "me wants" ....... I will wait and see if/when they go dual 6800 U cores. has to be cheaper than buying 2 seperate 6800 ultras.

They probably didn't use 6800U's for a good reason, I'm guessing cost or heat output. I wonder if PCI-express can even handle the bandwidth of two 6800 Ultra GPU's.....

I Honestly don't see why heat would be an issue here, the 6800's are more efficient ( per nm) in heat output than previous generations so I don't see why people complain there, it may put out more physical heat, and run natively hotter, but the technology allows it to run considerably cooler than it would if it where an extension of the FX line. If I where a manufacturer of a Dual-6800U GPU, I wouldn't hesitate to add atleast a $70.00 cooling system stock ( 120mm x 2 w/ Zalman Heatpipe-like all-copper dual-hs 'cept w/built-in PCI-slot exaust system aswell)
