| I'll just state my specs to alleviate any questions that might arise Im running a Soltek K8AN2E-GR mobo, Athlon 64 3000, 1gb Corsair pc3200 DDR ram, Thermaltake SVA4000 case w/2 120mm fans and an Ultra X-Connect 500w PSU. Now for some reason my video card: GeForce 4 Ti4600 128mb (placeholder for when my 6800 GT gets out of backorder) when i boot; the fan wont spin. The card fits snug in its AGP slot, but the fan wont spin, even after I cleaned it out extensively with some compressed air. On some boots the fan manages to twitch, but thats about it. Please help! | ||

| Check the connectors and replace the fan if needed. GPU and chipset fans die quickly, it's common. If you end up replacing the fan, this should do the trick. | ||

| Thanks much, for arguement sakes my mobo was damaged (say by something hitting it, dont ask) would that cause something as slight as my GPU fan not to work, or would it not be possible to just affect one aspect of the mobo? Im a bit paranoid, because this is my first self build, and when applying the cpu heatsink my screwdriver slipped and hit the mobo, not hard, but than again its a screwdriver, so not a feather-light tap either. Thanks in advance. | ||

| I had those things they suck for cooling anything 9500Pro (exluding 9600's and such) and up, nice glow to them. I have had two ,and I ended up destroying both for fun(damn.. ) The first one killed my 9600XT and the second could keep up with my 9800Pro with stock speed. Right now Im using my lapped Stock 9800Pro cooler and it works like a charm! ![]() | ||

| Anyone seen these yet? http://www.zalmanusa.com/usa/product...x=149&code=013 I'm considering getting one for the 5900XT I'll be getting, but I can't find anywhere that sells it o_O | ||

| Alittle off this topic but I am really starting to get mad about these fans. You spend 400 bucks on a card with a 99 cent fan to cool it. Then you have to send your card to ATI to have thier specially trained tech take out 3 screws and put another fan on the card. With the high price of these cards why do they go so cheap on these fans.......? Sorry had to say that. Anyone else agree? | ||

| This is off the main topic and sort of on your topic, but at work (I work for a coffee and vending distributor) we "rent" these $3500 starbucks coffee machines, and the assinine cabinets they give us to put em on are built like ****... I had 2 that I couldn't even put the top on because the fittings were messed up.... | ||

I'm with ya, man (hmmm....more profit for them?). I'd really like to be able to get a card with a VGA silencer already on it. Last edited by droeblek9; 18-December-04 at 05:40 PM.. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
