Gf4 ti Driver Probs

Hey, i got a Leadtek Gf4 Ti4200 and when i install the new 41.09 nvidia drivers, they sometimes unintall themselves. I know when it has done it becuase the refresh goes back to 60hz and when i go to advanced properties under display settings the Tabs for the card are gone..and i cant select the refresh rate, and it also says the card is unknown. but it all goes good again when i install them, untill they dissapear again......................what could be the problem??

By any chance, does that happen if you start your computer with the monitor turned off? I have a similar problem...if I turn my computer on but turn the monitor on after Windows loads, I'll usually see 640 x 480 x 16 colors, which will persist even if I reboot. I have to change it back to 1024 x 768 x 32-bit, but don't have to reinstall the drivers. The same problem happens on both my AMD and P4 systems (that's how I first noticed the issue, while swapping my single monitor between the two).
