| Apex Tech Fanatic Supreme | I currently have: 9800se which I get about 15500 on 3dmark2001se (2.2ghz 420fsb barton) and pc3200 2x256 dual channel DDR Mushkin level 1 ram Which would be a better upgrade? Getting a new videocard (looking at 9800pro or x700 if it comes to agp) or upgrading to 512x2 ram? If I get new ram I can probably sell the ram pretty easily on these boards maybe if I get new videocard I will be returning the videocard that I have borrowed from my friend. Thanks.

![]() | If that card you have is borrowed, buy a new AGP card, that should be your priority. You might be able to softmod the 9800se to a Pro, so it might be a good idea to look into that. Otherwise, I'd get more ram.

| Apex Tech Fanatic Supreme | Thanks for all your input, I realized I don't really need to upgrade my pc components but rather my speakers. EDIT: okay i guess ram again haha ( so many things so little $)

| Apex Tech God | Graphics card for shizzle my nizzle. Upgrading my RAM to 1 GB helped alot when running multiple programs (I burn alot of DVDs in the background while working) but not so much with games. Your graphics cards is pretty sad by todays standards. A 9800 pro would be a hell of an upgrade. If your into gaming go GFX card upgrade If your looking for day to day usability then go RAM. |

| Hoe-lier than Thou | A 6600 GT AGP version is your best option IMO if you game alot. If your more into media stuff then go for the RAM. I say this because I'm only using 512mb and it really hasn't seemed like its been holding me back. Then again I can't attest to any benefits either... |
