    |  ATI troubles i've got a Gigabite Ga-7n400 pro. that i got up and running last night enought to put windows xp pro on and. i started having trouble with my radeon 7000 so i tryed installing the drivers undersafe mode, and it couldn't find the card. so i tryed that several time then i tryed my 9200 and some times i can here it kick my monitor on my screen still stays black. got any idea's |

  | Take the card out of the PCI slot and put it in the AGP slot where it belongs. And plug in the VGA cable.  Last edited by TekXoID; 22-August-04 at 12:56 PM. Reason: Ahahahahaha |

| Put in the card that works, and set 'Init Display First' to the appropriate setting (AGP or PCI) in BIOS. Aren't both those cards, 7000 and 9200, the PCI type? Does the fan spin up? Chipset GART/AGP drivers are required for your system to detect an AGP card, so that may be the issue here, if the cards are AGP. Snag the chipset drivers HERE. |

| yeah both of my 9200 and 7000 are AGP. i'll try what you sudgested as soon as i finish home work Later that day: damnit damn it damnit i've gotten my 9200 working but its so incredibly unstable. i can't get the damn drivers installed Last edited by hondatuner; 22-August-04 at 04:10 PM. |

| got half way to what i wanted. i got my 7000 working now i use my 9200. and it boots up the the xp pro boot screen then when it goes to load to my logon screen. and goes black and wont come back |

Follow my nVIdia Display Driver Removal Guide, then instead of part G in the guide, install the original drivers that came with the card. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
