![]() | Sup peeps! Today my heavily OCed 5200 has bit the big one. It is now reduced to a paperweight and now is the time to go hunting for a new card. Im looking at either getting a 9600XT or a 9800SE to softmod. Which one would give me the best overall performance assuming that I have a softmodded 9800SE compared to a 9600XT?

| Hoe-lier than Thou | 9800 SE, if its the 256-bit verion flash it with the 9800 Pro BIOS and you got yerself a 9800 Pro, hell my 9800np (this was before SE's came out so more or less it could be a 256-bit SE) just took the XT BIOS... so, for $280 (what I paid for my NP a year ago when Pro's were $350 and 256mb Pro's $450 and no such thing as an XT... |

![]() | Thanks guys, looks like I will be picking up a 9800SE tommarow. BTW is there any diffrence performance-wise when softmodding using the omega drivers or flashing the bios? Because I would like to stay away from the bios flashing if I can.
