There are a few ways to do that... After you carefully romove the plastic pins that secure the HSF to the card and you make sure it is unplugged, then try to twist it off. DO NOT PRY or you could pull the core loose. do this after a long hot session of your favorite game. That or a hair dryer just on the HS and remember to twist. Chances are it'll fall right off when you got the pins removed... | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| Apex Tech Fanatic | lol left it on and got the HSF off. Sorry for replying so late lol. Well, the Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer works ok...still is hot tho and that may be a problem. I have no way of determining the temp, but feeling that floppylike metal thing on the back of the card, one notices that it is burning to the touch. Posted in another thread about this |

![]() ![]() | Hmmmmm, I still haven't installed my Rev.2 on mine because of mostly the same prob, ( heard too much horror stories of failed install when the installation was damn-near perfect).. The 9700Pro should run about in the same temp zones as the 9800 series, so I wouldn't worry if its still a bit hot, you should have ramsinks on there to be able to tell better aswell..
