Default 9700 Pro on Life Support.

I messed up big time, 120 MM fan on YY Cube is on side window it couldt close properly cuz the fan was hittin the card.
Long story short the metal plate came off , It held one of thoe little spider looking things( transistor?)
Any hope ? Card ran awsome till a few mins ago cuz of that prob, now all I see is big stripes on my monitor when I turn on my comp.

EDIT: And NO those aren't my fingers , I was taking the pix...

Im assuming that chip got torn from the card, correct?? I suppose its possible to fix as long as you can solder well - maybe take it to a local electronics repair shop - hard to find anymore but they can fock it up any worse.......

I'll see if I can get one of the solder techs at work to see if they can fix it. I'll let you know tomorrow.

With all these fixers...I have a couple ATI cards that fizzled. I would be willing to give up some gear to a pimp who could fix them.

Looks like an easy fix to me, all you need is a fine tip soldering iron from R$, some silver cored solder, a bottle of liquid flux and you're set.

Soldering's easy man, if I can do it...then I'm assuming most people can do it if they try.

BA, if you'd want to sell one of those easy fix'ers to a little guy, tell me. Looking to buy an AGP card if TekX doesn't start talking
