NO! If you use those together, the thermonuclear reaction cannot be controlled and once it becomes self sustaining, you will destroy the country! For the sake of mankind, don't do it!

I suggest you tell us what the error is, what operating system you're running, and the rest of the hardware involved. You don't need the specs though, just list model numbers.

That BIOS error message indicates a video failure on a motherboard with an Award BIOS...looking in the specs of the mobo above I don't see a model number, and it's showing an AMI BIOS, which doesn't have a 1-2 beep code (there's a 1-3 code though, and that means a memory error) What is the manufacturer and model number of the motherboard?

Have you tried your card in another motherboard?

Have you tried reseating the card? (taking the card out and putting it back in)

Try reseating your video card (take it out and put it back in)
You can also try flashing the BIOS, but that likely won't fix the problem. The BIOS is telling you that there is a problem with the video subsystem. That means the BIOS is working correctly, and detecting the problem. It's likely that:

- the video card is bad (you can determine this by poutting your video card in another system...if the problem happens in the other system, then the video card needs to be replaced) OR
- the video card is not seated properly (take it out, put it back in and try again)

ATI has a really good warranty program. If the card is defective, then you'll likely be able to get ATI to replace it for you. (If it's under warranty, of course)

Contact ATI for more information.

It could also mean that your AGP slot is hosed...which would make sense if the cards you tried work in another motherboard...have you tried flashing the BIOS?

hey - look at it this way - the board's likely hosed anyway, so what more damage can you do?
