I have a rare 3dfx prototype.....

I did a little sleuthing and with some help from they guys at voodoofiles.net, I have discovered I have a rare Voodoo 3 2000 prototype card. In BIOS it says 'Voodoo 3 2000 LC', it's a 16mb SGRAM card and looks like a Voodoo Banshee. It's PCI, and has solder joints for 4 more SGRAM chips. It runs considerably hotter than my Voodoo 3 2000 which has the same cooler modded onto it. It also performs better than my Voodoo 3 2000 PCI, in Halflife it didn't lag even on the big maps.

Yes, you heard me. I modded a $1,000 3dfx prototype card. Oops.

What is it that you modded? Why can't you put it back to stock?

Is that the card that can run SLI mode?

No this isn't an SLI card. Just got out of Halflife and this thing is slaughtering my Voodoo 3 2000 PCI.

Ya I have the stock cooler but I would rather make good use of the card than have it sit on the shelf and collect dust.

Is Valve really dropping WON at the end of the summer?
