Default OCing outside windows

I used the omega drivers to OC my 128mb 9800pro. At first everything was fine, but after I turned the computer off, it wouldn't restart. It always freezes when it loads agp440.sys.

Is there any program I can boot into to change the OC settings outside of windows?

If not, any suggestions?

Toggle F8 before the bootscreen, this will bring up the boot menu. Boot in to safe mode because it will not load any startup programs. agp440.sys belongs to the ATi Catalyst Package, uninstall it.

Boot up normally and you can reinstall the omega's.

I've tried booting into safe mode (which is how I know it freezes when loading agp440.sys).

Does overclocking with the Omegas actually change the BIOS, or just the windows drivers?

Success! kinda .......

I have no idea exactly how this worked, but I guess it did. I didn't change any drivers, any settings, anything video-card-related at all. I unplugged one of the two CD drives from the mobo, and now I can boot into GUI programs. (Before, I could run anything that had a text interface).

I'm rather confused ........
