Right now I am using the latest Omega drivers.

Have also tried to regular Catalysts from the ATI website.

I really don't know what else to do. I've posted this on all the sites that I visit that are somewhat tech saavy and people still don't know what the heck is up with it.

Is "Built by ATI" just a bad brand or something?

Could anything in my computer be bogging it down THAT much? Like I said above, I've read alot of people with rigs with less power scoring WAY better than I do in 3dmark01.

I ran it again a few minutes ago and BARELY reached 6k whereas people score anywhere from 15-20k.

Thanks again guys.

as in you need to tweak with the settings, the BIOS would be a good place to start.

Maybe I am just used to NVidia, but I've never had to work this hard for a video card to put out bro! LOL

Mine puts out and does so consistently, maybe because I have never had nVidia on this system.
The changeover from nVidia has always been a dirty process...

Reset your BIOS, load optimized defaults, tweak your settings, most of them are self-explanatory.

Although, I still think the PSU is at fault here.

check your device manager and make sure you have something in there under system devices and look for something that refers to agp to pci controller or something simular. On my board its called processor to agp controller. Also check for chipset updates. http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...9&DwnldID=7484

Just a few more things;

Make sure you're BIOS has your Primary Display Adapter set to AGP. Also whats you're cooling like? if your temps are gawd aweful I think your vid card might downclock. Also how bout the PSU? if its some cheapo 250-300w'er you might be overloading it and thus screwing with the graphics card again.

BIOS updates may or may not help. The same with the newest drivesr for EVERYTHING

Cooling is stock. From what I've read these things can get really hot. I'm pretty new to this whole modding anything besides my case scene, so honestly I have no guess on how to check a video card temperature...

Really dinky fan, doesn't look like it can cool much. Here is a pic of it...

That is the 9800 128 meg page. But my card looks exactly like that.

AFAIK my PSU isn't going out. Hasn't gave any adverse signals or anything of it. I believe it is a 450w PSU. Only have a CCL and a CD-RW hooked up along with a couple of fans.
