Default radion 7000

ok well i jsut got my new 120 gig hdd and ive had my new mobo for a while now sooo wen i just installed windows XP and ran it for the first time and the screen is all messed up before wen ive done this ive used my onboard video and im wondering how can i get my 7000 to work

PS im using an OLD s3 virge that make my computer LAG horribly

Download the latest video drivers. Run Driver Cleaner.

How do you mean the screen is fuzzy? if you mean the screen is completly unreadable with lots of lines going down it it means the refresh rate isnt properly set for your particular screen - you may want to set all the video parameters to a default then try again.

well i have quite an old monitor but other video cards work but my radion doesnt work it is like u said that my screen has lots of lines and its unreadable.

too high of res even though it should be at defualt if u jsut installed. Hmmm, reintall xp, with radeon in it, take it form there

yeh you get the bit i missed there - XP shud reset whatever settings its on and will take it from there - if you needed to change the settings again and its unreadable, leave it for 10 seconds or so, and it will reset back to the previous mode

OR when the PC is booting press F8 during boot up (right after POST) and select enable VGA mode. it will start XP in 640 x 480. and i dont care how old your monitor is. that will work. you will then be able to set it like you want. but prolly not over 800 x 600...

Try going into SAFE mode and installing the drivers.........I had that card in another pc a long time ago and that card is really outdated........

I can understand typos god knows I have a million of them...But when did we throw english out the window to this new fangled INTERNET LANGUAGE? Sentences have become longer and longer and abreviations RULE!! God I can feel my grandmother rolling in her grave....AINT IS NOT A WORD!! hahaha
