With the new acquisition of an Athlon XP2400, I have come to realize that I have a very fast processor. Not anything like the Durons I have been using. But one thing has been holding my machine back (well two things) and those are memory and a video card. I have the memory taken care of, two 512MB sticks of Corsair XMS PC2700. But the video card is the on thing I haven't decided on. Right now I'm running stock speeds on a Radeon 9000 64M and was getting 6900 in 3DMark01. Overclocked to 285 / 450 and got 7400. So I need a new video card. Kayin says I should get an FX5700 GDDR3 if I go Nvidia. What do you guys think? Trying to stay under 170 dollars.

I'd go for the FX5900XT, my best friend has one from MSI and its really nice, can play FarCry with maxed settings at 1024x768

The 9800SE can be softmoded to Pro with the Omega Drivers

Yeah Far Cry is awesome, as well as Call Of Cuty, was playing CoD on my friends Alienware and it's like 'wow' very realistic, much more so than Halflife

I do plan on some FC and CoD, need some new games

if TexK has any brains a X800 pro from CompUSA for $400

the only GeForce 6800 U i've seen is a $610 USD MSI card.

Also newegg.com's X800 prices are wayyy to high, go compusa (thats a first)

No actually I've had a 9800XT for a while now. The X800XT-PE is my next upgrade.
