![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, I finally got mobo #5 back from warranty. So, instead of hosing it right away, I decided to see what this Radeon 9500 Pro has in her. Stock, she'c clocked at 260 core and 271 memory. That won't do. It's got the R9700 GPU on it, so I know there's quite a bit of headroom for overclocking. My precious 9500Pro (which a client of mine is using) topped out at 315/297 core/mem. That's where the madness started. To make a long story short, I just finished 3DM01 at 427/341 core/mem. On stock cooling. previous 3Dm: 13260 current 3DM: 17,420 +4,160 3DM01 Points Needless to say I'm very pleased. The client will keep my card, as he's had it for a year & I really don't want to disrupt him. Plus I really want to keep this one ![]() Now let's see what this new Abit IC7-G can do... [EDIT] Some History: The card I've got now is an RMA replacement for the client's card. He bought it on my recommendation, and it crapped out on him within 3 days, and he doesn't even know what overclock means. I gave him my 9500Pro to use until his came back from RMA. In the mean time I sold my gear at the time and just let him keep my card. The RMA replacement I received ended up hosing 3 of my Abit boards, and 1 Intel board. It was replaced with the current card. I'm keeping it.

| Mastah Overclocker | Looks like ya got a Keeper! I borrowed a 9700PRO from a friend about a year ago (Curiousity) on my old ABIT NF-7 XP2400 Combo using 350 Core and 370 Memory, I scored nearly the same. I took some screenshot of the ORB compare between our 2 systems, for nearly having the same score, they realy performed quite differently on individual tests. Just thought it was interesting, a kind of a Apples vs Oranges comparison with nearly identical results

Ahh yes, but your card costs more than twice what mine did...try getting 17k+ out of a card in the same class - that's NOT modified. Not gonna happen...even the 9600XT can only barely manage 15-16k....
