Bios flash 9800 Pro to 9800 XT

Has anyone flashed the BIOS on their 9800 Pro to a 9800 XT? I have the files, but don't know if it works or is even worth the effort. I can't afford to buy a new card, so an iffy bios flash isn't something I want to do.

if something goes wrong with the bios you could always reflash the bios back to the original one

It'll only fly if it's a 256 meg 9800 pro...

It has to do with memory addressing.

they do make a hacked XT BIOS for this purpose. I'll do some digging for this, as i have seen it somewhere.....

Slider,
I'd just load the latest and greatest Omega drivers and use the radlinker OC tool.
I hit 515/475 with a couple of tenths of joose on my cheapy 9800pro. 7203 in3D03

Better cooling than a Maze4 GPU cooler? Damn Zen, I can only get the mem up to 405 and the core to about 440 or 450.

Edit: I've also maxed the AGP voltage for my mobo. It's no the best for voltage adjustments. For agp you can add .10 , .20 , or .30. Not much.

It requires you to solder a variable resistor to the GPU power circuit...I'll get some pics for ya...
