I have one question about flashing a 9800se to a 9800pro (referring back to chrome's post here:
http://forums.pcapex.com/showthread....842#post175842). The 9800pro has a 256-bit memory interface, and the 9800se has a 128-bit interface. How would this affect the upgrade? Is the size of the interface controlled by the BIOS, or are there two parallel 128-bit interfaces, one of which is simply closed off in the se version of the card? Is the increase in performance due to the different interfaces negligible?
I've already ordered a 9800se off newegg.com, so it's obviously not going to affect my choice of video card, I'm just wondering how this affects the upgrade. Does anyone know a lot about this subject?
