   |  best cad cards? ok im building a computer for an architect friend of mine, and he needs a sick cad card. i dont want something insane and expensive like the quadro fx, but if any of you cad-hoes can list a bunch of cards ranging from about 200 to 500$ i would greatly appreciate it.

I think this would be a good choice, I am not a Cad hoe, there are plenty of them around though..  If he could stretch things a bit or wait a bit till the price drops, this is a DX9 card, it might a be way of "Future Proofing" his investment until he goes to PCI express down the road. | 3DLabs cards are ok and all but I gotta go with Solids on this one, the Quadro FX1100 is a great card for 600 dollars.
