Default CrossFire two different cards

Can I CrossFire two different cards that both have CrossFire? Like the 3850 and the 3870?

Probably but don't quote me.... They were able to do it with the 3870 and 3850 cards.

Yes, but the cards have to be a similar architecture; e.g. you can't CrossFire a 4870 and a 3870.

In your situation, the 3870 will drop to the speeds of the 3850, so if you're considering buying one you may as well just get two 3850s.
