Default Sapphire Radeon 9000 PRO 128 MB

Sapphire Radeon 9000 PRO 128 MB, does any one has or had this graphic card, because i got it right now and I think that games like Medal of honor breakthrough, call of duty or battlefield(all of them) or other new games should work better than they work now, i mean they work fine but sometimes the games stops especially when you're close to the fire.

So what do u guys think of it does any one has or had the same problem, is it a good enough graphic card for games , maybe by setting all these options will help me.

How should i set up the Truform in both direct 3D and OpenGL right now its off for both of them but maybe it should be on application preference? which one?

thanx

thast not that high end of a card. you should probably upgrade, with doom3 and hl2 comin out 9600pros are gettin pretty cheap, even 9800pros are comin down there too.

yeah, if you wanna play some really really high end games such as far cry you'll definitely need an upgrade. if you want to play medal of honor your 9000pro should be enough. i'm running a radeon 8500le and medal of honor runs really smoothly. first of all, check to see that you have the latest drivers from ati.com and also check to see if you need to patch your games. sometimes a patch will increase performance considerably. this was the case when i played jedi knight 2. also you should check the minimum system requirements for the game. in general it's best to have your system have triple those specs to be able to get all the eye candy and still run smoothly. i'm not sure what you're running but it may be that your hardware is a limitation

Turn Truform off, and move the sliders to performance. I have the exact card, and I get roughly 25-30 FPS in Need For Speed Underground. Also, I have a big ass heatpipe cooler on it, and overclocked the hell outta it

what the sliders do is tune down the graphics options like AA and aniso. so that way your rig doesn't work as hard to render the graphics for the game.
