| Apex Tech God | Thats the exact card that i have, and whats cool about it, along with nvidia cards is that most are fairly easy to OC. Start with a program thats called CoolBits, you can just google this cause im to lazy right now, and adjust both frequencies about 5, then let it adjust. If everything is still ok then go 5 more on each rail until it finally does become unstable then go back to your last known good setting. You also might wanna look into bumpin up your cooling on your card also. Good Luck! Edit: The aussies put it right on this page and have the registry edit ready for download about half way down the page. You can find it here.

| Apex Tech God | Theres lots of pictures around the galleries on what people have done with their cards, i.e. j-dogg. If you have any smaller copper heatsinks layin around that would be a good idea, and of course a better fan, like an 80mm should be perfect. One if j-dogg's mods can be found here to give you a general idea of what you might want to do to your card before OCing it. These heatsinks are attached with thermal adhesive btw.

For a "Inexpensive" upgrade (Under 10$) and a good way to learn your way around your hardware is to replace the original thermal paste or grease under the "Stock" heats sink and fan. There are several good brands out there that will lower your temps and allow higher overclocking levels. I use Arctic Silver products, and just picked up some AS5 to try out, my tube of AS3 is almost gone. Since your considering an upgrade soon, it would be a good time to practice your Thermal Paste spreading skills until you have picked your new Cooler. You might also consider adding some "Ram Sinks" at a later time, this will also allow higher overclocking for your memory, but that is another subject onto itself. So grab some good paste, and coat your Graphics Processor, and your CPU at another time, it will gain you some experience in working with your hardware..and maybe a little better overclock for the moment till your new GPU Cooler arrives ![]() Edit: Make sure you take proper precautions before altering your hardware, ground youreself before handling the hardware and be aware this will void any waranty. Read the forums Overclocking sections, there are plenty of threads that will explain the procedures in more detail, the "Search" option for the Forums can be your friend here
