| Well I got the Omega drivers and rage 3D turned up the core and mem and got a 3D mark 03 score of 3997 up from 3500. I'm prety happy, my core is(vid) 562.50 mem 348.75 ATI 9600xt. If I raise my mem any more it starts to act funny in RTCW ET. Maybe when I build the new water system it will inprove. Specks are MSI KT4V AMD 1900+ 512 DDR dont remember brand 9600XT Audigy x gamer sound 40&120 gig drives Hunter | ||

| Im a comin a knockin with my radeon 9600 pro, 532 core 339 memory. That core is up from 400 thats 132 mhz overclock, booyah grandma. I swear that this tihng can hit 600, i know she has it in her. When i get 2 iceberq4 pros, one on each side, and then memory sinks for it she will sit at 600, or fry trying. Oh nice overclcok with an xt, some dont push too far since they are already overclocked 100 mhz. I just broke 4000 3d marks a month ago or so, heres my rig:athlon 1800+ (oc'ed to 2700+) 512mg pc3200 ran Audigy Gamer 40 gig 7200 rpm 8 mg cache and of course radeon 9600 pro (532/339) 3dmark03 score: 4032 Is it just me or is the 9600 series the most common card now in systems? I am seeing alot of em LONG LIVE THE 9600!

| So do you think I can push the core higher? I didn't realy know what I could get from this card as I'm new to OCing, and I don't realy want to hurt the card. I just got it for Christmas and it kicks my old (sorry for the bad words I'm about to type) Nvidia fx5200's ASS! I love ATI and will never switch back. Would a heat pipe like the Zalman be good or should I just wait till I build the water PC?Thanks Hunter | ||

Check this REVIEW out, it was a factory supplied review board, and it might have been better than the retail version that you can buy I am thinking. They were able to get to a 600 core clock and 315 memory completely stock, but like I said, that was not a retail version. Just some food for thought....Kinda shows that 600 core speed might be possible ![]() If you push it too far you will se artifacts (Things that aren't drawn properly) or it will not finish the test. I have overclocked my card for a few years now, and haven't had a problem, but I don't leave at top speed for daily use (I drop it about 15% from the top OC speed) I only push it hard when I am trying to get a better score in 3DMark, since it will play all my games fine at that speed, and I can't tell the difference There is a program called Artifact Testor or something like that...never used it, but some people here do, maybe someone will post a link for you ![]() Last edited by $SOLID$ Necro; 08-January-04 at 02:16 AM.. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
