Default Is this 9700 Pro any good?

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...9&searchdepa=1

It's by PowerColor and I think I had seen someone say to stay away from them. Is this card any good?

Why don't you just spend the 238 for the sapphire 9700 pro.. It is a good card for sure..

EDIT:: From what i have read in a few reviews this card is not much different from the ATI 9700 pro..It might be a good buy..

I have had a 9700 pro (ati) for almost a year and I can't complain at all. I run Call of Duty and Planetside with the eye candy all the way up and it doesn't flinch a bit. I had a few problems with their early drivers, but the card itself is rock solid. The first one I got was bad, something with the memory on it, I called ati and get a reference number, sent the card to them priority mail and received the new one within a total of 7 days from when I sent it. Can't bitch about that at all.

I bought a power color 9700pro earlier this year, and I didn't think it performed very well. It wasn't able to O/C, probably due to the slower ram it came with. Both the hard-modded 9500nons kicked it's ass.

If your heart is set on a 9700pro, I would suggest the Shappire line like Bio mentioned above. It has the faster Samsung ram, and is only $20.00 more for the bulk version, at $238.00

I do say this...that from about $175-$325 there are so many choices that you'll spend countless hours trying to decide just how much bang for the buck you can get...Good Luck, I decided on the 9600XT, and it's a good deal for the money...

I've had a few friends also buy 9600XT's and they all like them a lot. Then again they're upgrading from gf4mx's and gf2's etc.

Don't 9800nonpro's sell in this price range?

Only 9800 non pros I found in this price range were the se.. Theys are not worth the money they cost.. You would not be happy with a 9800 se..a 9600 pro or 9600 xt would most likely blow it out of the water..

How can you tell that this Shappire card has the fast Samsung ram?
