Ok I know this is a dumb question, but I dont know the answer

If a video card is listed as 8x, will it work on a motherboard that has a 4x slot, just at a lower-than-max speed?
Ive got an M7VIG Pro with a 4x agp slot, and the video card Im lookin at is 8x...so will these work?

yes, like you said, just at 4x speed, invest a little time to find out for sure but as a rule, those cards will work, just do NOT try using it on a 2x mobo...

Yes it will work and sometimes it will work faster at 4x speeds rather tahn 8x speeds.
