Default Voodoo 5500 Heatsink Mod

Well guys, I have decided that this Voodoo 5500 sitting in my Short Circuit mod runs a little too hot. Wayyyyyy too hot for the little heatsinks on it. And if I pushed these dual VSA-100's from 166 to 200 or even 230 (and I can) it would have more raw processing power than a 9800XT. I wouldn't mind sacrificing *counts PCI slots as he is typing this* 2 PCI slots for an awesome HSF mod using some old SS7 HSF's and some AS Epoxy. But my biggest fear right now is damaging the VSA-100 processors. I have heard of the freezer trick, I can't exactly remember how it's done. Are there any other ways of getting the HSF's off? If you need to see the video card, there's a pic of it in my sig.

the freezer trick is, put the card in a ziplock bag then freeze it. after you take it out put a screw driver in between there and pop it off. but ive seen bad things come about from using this as it will not always work. ive seen a guy rip his whole core off.

thats wat im afraid of is ripping the core off. wouldnt it be safer to twist it with a big wrench or a pair of pliers? the heatsink doesnt actually touch the core, that actual plastic chiop itself, the epxy kinda raises it above the processor a bit. i just got the heatsinks today for free, and they are HUGE lol they were pulled out of some old 200MMX Dells. Wat I might do is just put two heatsinks on there, big tall aluminum ones, then run a 120MM fan across the HS's like in big servers. But most likely I will just epoxy some beefy SS7 HSF's, I may do high-flow Sunon 60MM fans on each.
