Exclamation Gainward FX 5950 Ultra GPU

I just want to know if this card is the best FX card out there. Gainward claims to have the fastest clocked FX card [via the golden sample edition]. I was wondering if this was the right FX to get and if the company Gainward was reliable?

Link to Gainward site:
http://www.gainwardusa.com/products/vga_1800xp.htm

the link i sent discusses the contents of a FX kit made by gainward with cool accesories such as their "golden sample" overclocking utility

Gainward is very trusty. Also that is a great card. Dont be discouraged by these comments or all the other ones you will get, but i would go with the radeon 9800 xt or pro. They are just better. Oh and that is the fastest FX card around.

yes the 9800xt looks promising but i have a MSI geForce 4 4600 Ti right now and it is wonderful.. i have never seen or tried a radeon yet and my friend has an ATI and says its garbage because he lags out all the time and has graphics problems with games. so i would like to know what makes the ati better if they are the same speeds and if it is better, is the difference highly noticeable?

ATI handed NVidia it's ass in a basket 18 months ago, with the release of the 9700 pro.

NVidia to date has not asked for it back.

I am loyal to no hardware company, I buy whatever is the best bang for the buck at the time. I would (and will) switch from AMD to Intel if they gave me better performance for less money, and obviously the same is true of gpu's.

Frankly, you would be foolish to buy NVidia at this time.

Either would kick ass - go with what you can afford. The XT would be the better of the two but I believe its just a slight performance gain.

There is a 9800 Pro w/ 256 megabytes of DDR II but if your going to spend that kind of money, just get the XT
