  |  directx8 errors w/9.0b installed on 3DMark2001SE build330 Ok...I got no clue... 9600XT installed the card the drivers, Checked DXdiagnostics, 9.0b installed and working D/Led 3DMark2001SE (330)... I have: uninstalled the benchmark, rebooted, reinstalled, before and after the 9600XT... and just about everyother combination I could think of...I just wanna see how much I hate this New Vid-card, Trying to get a copy of 03 now...only 24hrs. on dial-up ...HELP before I pull all my hair out and throw the card into the foken street Please... I open the benchmark and this sum-bitch keeps comming up... |

  | Have you checked what the error log said? Maybe they might have an explanation at the website. Perhaps your copy of 3DMark is corrupted. I can burn you a fresh copy of either 3DMarks and mail it if you think you got a bad copy.

| I don't know if I missed something in your explanation, but It's always been my understanding that '03 only works with DX9, and DX can't be uninstalled, so once you go to DX9, you gotta have '03. Or re-install windows.

| or another thing i just noticed, where did you dl it from? cause ive dl'ed it from diffrent sites and it doesnt work. although the one i did find that works is the one from overclockers club. i had the same problem. EDIT :: Sorry Zennz i forgot you were on dialup so it would take a life time for you to download it. So just forget everything i said.

 | You know it's weird. 3DMark2001 quit working for me awhile back on my main rig. Same error. I didn't think much about it because everything else worked fine. I just tried it and it is now working. hmmm What ATI driver are you using?

| Same here all... If it helps with Catyls 3.7 Mark01 work beautifully, with 3.9 it no longer works... maybe thats the key??? anyone know where I can DL the 3.7's again? I had em but a virus made me lose em |

| Huh, I used the newest ones available from the ATI website with my 9600 XT and 3dMark2001 worked - although i wasnt impressed with the score I got. High 8000s.... I was using the free version, newest drivers running in WIndows XP home and I did get a different error message. Downloading the patch fixed it. It wasnt the same error message you got though.

| lol i 9600 pro hits low 12 ks baby. I think your rig mihgt have a differnt bottleneck. Dont throw tjhat 9600xt out, it dosnt blow chunks, it just isnt no 9800pro
