| Ever since I reformatted the last time when I upgraded my processor, for some reason, any overclocking I do on my vid card doesn't save after I restart my comp. I don't know if I might have changed something in the BIOS or maybe while I was tweaking windows or what. It isn't just this vid card and its drivers, either, because I've tried it with my new 9800 NP as well and it still doesn't work. I've also tried 3rd party overclocking programs, such as the one from Rage3D, and everytime I boot up those damn default clock speeds have been reset. Anyone know where the problem may lie? | ||

| After reading your post it inspired me to go ahead and try another 3rd party overclocking program, since I had been using Coolbits on my Nvidia previously and it wouldn't let me save settings there either. Sure enough. I downloaded Rivatuner and it works like a charm. Must have just been a coincidence that coolbits and rage3d didn't work. Anyway, try downloading that and see if it works for you too. Thanks $Solid$. ![]() | ||

| Glad to be of Service I have used Rivatuner and PowerStrip, both seem to work well, but In a way it's usefull to let it default back to stock speeds, Since I realy only need to Overclock for certain games, why burn up the card if your just surfing. I kinda like the theory behind the XT Series Overclocking utility... only gives you a boost when the Load is high, only bug is the card has to support it (Thermal probe on XT cards only) I'm sure you have seen it. The tests I have seen were not as impressive as a Manual Overclock, maybe in the future, more top end cards will support this and refine it ![]() | ||
