![]() | I have recently done some comparisons with 3 versions of nVidia drivers on my GeForce FX 5900. The versions are... 44.03 45.33 52.16 In each case the image quality has improved, more so between the 44.03 and 45.33 drivers than between 45.33 and 52.16. I have read many posts in various forums in which people seem to think nVidia is reducing image quality to gain points on certain benchmarks, but I personally do not think this is the case. In all of my tests, the newer drivers provide not only better performance, but BETTER IMAGE QUALITY! Now, that is not to say that there are no bugs that still need to be worked out. In some cases 6xS antialiasing does not function properly in my games, such as in Medal Of Honor, but WILL function in others. However I am still not positive this bug resides in the driver, it could be the game itself. MOH is rather buggy I must say. Well basically I wanted to hear your experiences with the new driver. In the mean time, I will work on posting screenshots to prove my point. P.S. - No ATI vs. nVidia wars on my thread please. I got my video card brand new for $200 and no card will beat it for that price. Thanks for reading. Tomb |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It still can't make up for limitations in the NV3X core itself. No matter how much they tweak the driver. Thats about the best performance they can get out of it with these new drivers. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes I know. Im just saying, no matter how hard they try, until they redesign the core, thats about all the performance they'll get out of it. Not a very good design. Nvidia really messed up, and pissed off alot of loyal gamers. I used to be one, now, the only nvidia product I'll buy, is the nforce2/3 mobos. ATI has a superior core design right now. We'll just have to wait and see if nvidia learns from their mistakes in the next generation. |
