The 9800se are not rejected 9800 pros, they are normal ones lowered and usually use cheaper memory. I bet with proper cooling it could be flashed to the 9800xt

Is that right, probie?

The card you describing is a 9800 np, not a 9800SE. But you want to find out for yourself go right ahead.

You are, after all, so knowledgable about graphic cards. Your many polls prove that.

I'll be here to say I told you so.

Sadly to say mot, yer wrong. The otehr guys are right. The SE's are pros, with 4 pipelines disable, due to some problem or another. Just like som AMD cpus (eg 2000+) failed at one point, so downgraded and sold.

You can try the softmod to the 9800 pro on it, but I'm very doubtful on it working. Like I said, they were rejected for a reason.

I'd recommend using either the Omega drivers on it or Rage 3D of alter the clock freqs.

No. I beleive teh AIW have a different BIOS setup, with all that extra crap onboard. I dont think it would work, I could be wrong.

Yea, I doubt the AIW could be modded. Mess up the BIOS and you might lose the AIW functions
