Default Dual monitors with onboard?

Ok, i have absolutely zero experience with nVidia hardware, but i just finished my server with a DFI C51PV-M2/G board. I'm using the onboard video, via d-sub. My question is, i've got a DVI>D-sub adapter, how do i enable the DVI port so i can run dual monitors off this?

Its not detecting the other monitor at all. Are DVI>D-sub adaptors standard? Im using one left over from an ATI card...

The adapter shouldn't be a problem. Typically the easiest way is to right click on the desktop>properties>settings> click on the #2 monitor and click enable this monitor. If that doesn't work open up the nVidia control panel and click on display and then Change Display Configuration.

Hope that helps

Its a software problem somewhere, because for whatever reason neither windows or the nVidia control panel think im capable of having dualies.

Hmm. You sure that they're both connected securely? Perhaps there's a bios option? Anything in the manual?

Nothing about it in the manual and i made sure to enable it in the bios. Even if theres not a display hooked up, it should show another monitor in the display porperties.

It won't. The second display must be connected for it to show up in the control panel.

EDIT: Ok I checked the manual. You've got Dual VGA support enabled, RGB/TV set to RGB and onboard VGA enabled correct?

Yes, all of those are set correctly, i just tried plugging the monitor straight in without the KVM and it still didnt recognize it. IDK whats up with this.

You're sure the monitors actually working? Reboot? Switch ports? I'd suggest checking out the DFI forums.

This is the last thing i havn't gotten working just how i want with the new computer. If i cant i wasted $30 on a KVM.

Does it detect it if you boot into safe mode?
