![]() | I noticed using the radclocker, when I reboot it resets to oem settings even after i select "boot with current". I must be missing a step here.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Use rage3d from http://www.rage3d.com. Its the best Radeon overclocking tool you can use. Ok, cheap version. Just wondering why they clock the memory so slow, compared to my 9000. (Btw, I can hit 300mhz on my memory ) |

| Ghostrider | Hey Hawk...I've read reviews on this chipset, and they usually say the memory is at 600mhz.....I'm guessing that is the 300mhz X 2. Dual Data Rate maybe? Maybe that's why your 9000 seems to have better mem speed.

![]() | I coulda went higher with no problems.... I actually throttled it back. I also have 2 80mm fans blowing on the card to clear out the ambient heat. There was a link on one of the forums where the author had it up to 547.

![]() | Thx Mot no no problems running high quality sound... I do have some problems with reverb running eax-enabled games but thats about it. I just ran the D3 alpha for the 1st time since i put the 9600 in and it runs sooo sweet... the 4600 could barely process but the 9600 handled much better.. avg around 20 fps with drops on only the most graphic intensive parts of level 3. Still not 30+ but definately playable for an alpha. Overall a definate improvement.

| Apex Elite Expert Tech | well, after a hard long search i found a 256-bit radeon 9800se for 175, currently sold out, but hopefully it will come back into stock- this card is exactly the same as a 9800np with only 4 pipelines active, but all you have to do is enable the other 4 pipelines and you have a 9800- OC it a bit or flash the bios, whatever and you got yourself a 9800pro- oc it it some more- and thats some good raw graphics power |
